At Craftsman we see technology as a vehicle for social change. We realize our impact through the work of our nonprofit partners. At this moment, we will amplify voices seeking solutions. Here are a few:
Race Forward
Race Forward catalyzes movement building for racial justice. The organization builds strategies to advance racial justice in policies, institutions, and culture.
“We are offering folks the opportunity to practice social solidarity in a time of physical distancing by presenting interactive virtual training sessions. These training spaces will serve as an opportunity to learn, grow and connect with a community of people who are all working to deepen their racial equity practice.” Learn more.
YW Boston
YW Boston is dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering women by prioritizing changes in policies, practices, attitudes and behaviors.
YW Boston has been advancing equity for over 150 years. In June 2020, they shared a list of resources titled “How to take action against racism right now.”
PIDC
PIDC’s mission is to spur investment, support business growth, and foster developments that create jobs, revitalize neighborhoods, and drive growth to every corner of Philadelphia.
“In this time of uncertainty, we are reaching out to check in with you and assure you we are open for business and available to support our many clients, partners, and friends. We are listening and willing to talk about the issues affecting your business and your community. You can count on PIDC to support you through this time and to stand in solidarity to fight for equity and economic justice.”
Housing Trust Silicon Valley
Housing Trust Silicon Valley believes communities are more diverse, sustainable, and vibrant when everyone has a safe, stable and affordable place to live.
“At the Housing Trust, we have begun partnering with The Justice Collective to accelerate our work of centering race and equity into our affordable housing programs and organization.” Read their statement on Black Lives Matter.
Just-A-Start
Just-A-Start’s vision is a better future for each and every community member: a secure home, a sustaining career, and engagement in the community.
“It is all of our responsibility to listen to the unheard, and to make clear with our words and actions that black lives matter. For our part, Just-A-Start commits itself to addressing the inequity and racism at the root of the protests by creating opportunities for equitable housing, education, and employment.”
